Currently, I’m focusing on reducing AI Risk by applying my development skills in this field, while also working to understand this control problem myself in order to contribute to the research more directly.

With a group of researchers and designers, we are making The Treacherous Turn, a tabletop RPG that helps players explore the danger of superintelligent AI. I’m also spending some time to help out Stampy, a Q&A bot for AI Alignment; and another effort that looks to analyze literatures in the field & build useful research tools.

In my spare time I help run XinCheJian hackerspace in Shanghai. I’m responsible for leading and documenting staff meetings, and I enjoy hosting open night roundtables, movie nights, and jam sessions.

I also play soccer twice a week with a coed team, boulder occasionally, participate in jazz jam sessions, and draw bad art before bed every night.
